It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that “The 14th Amateur Inter District Invitational Tennis Championship 2026” will be held at the Darjeeling Gymkhana Club Tennis Courts, Darjeeling on and from the 21st and 22nd of March 2026.
In this connection, please go through attached the “Rules & Regulations” and Program of the event. You are requested to send us your entry (ies) by Thursday the 19th of March 2026.
We would like to draw your kind attention to the fact that keeping in mind the weather in March, the number of events and daylight hours, we request you to kindly bear in mind the following:
- Please also ensure that your team reports at 07:30 A.M. on the 21th March 2026 at the venue.
- Please send your entries with details of the names of the players along with their date of birth, seeding as per your Club.
- The participating Club Members/individual participants are requested to forward their entries with their respective players club seeding as per the stipulated time as mentioned.
- We are trying to give time slots for the matches and as a result we may not be in a position to entertain last minute entries.
- Please book your travel and Hotel Accommodation immediately. We also encourage you to bring you families to cheer you and enjoy Darjeeling.

RULES & REGULATIONS
1. The names of the participating players should be furnished according to their Club’s Ranking position to enable the Committee to seed the players while making the fixtures.
2. a) There will be one Open Singles, one Open Doubles and one 45+ Singles & one 45+ Doubles.
b) There will be 120+ Veteran’s Doubles (the combined age of both partners must be at least 120 years). One partner must be at least 55 years or older.
3. Games will be played on knockout basis, as per the AITA / BTA rules.
4. All matches will be played on the basis of 3 sets, (1 set all will be decided by a Super Tie-Break). Committee to decide on the suggested format, as the tournament has to be completed by the forenoon of 22nd March 2026.
5. No professional player, ranking player & Coaches would be allowed to participate in this Tournament.
6. (a) Participating Teams will have to make their own arrangements of conveyance and lodging. For any assistance,

7. Matches will start from 8:00 A.M. onwards.
8. Last date of entry along with the participating players’ list to be submitted by the 19th March 2026
9. All Veterans players have to submit proof of date of birth or asked to furnish upon request.
10. Players are requested to be attired in proper tennis kits.
11. Dress code for the Official Dinner – Formals or National Dress.
12. Entry fees are ₹ 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) for Singles and ₹ 2500/- (Rupees Two thousand five hundred only) for doubles.
