It gives me an immense pleasure to inform you that we have just concluded our 10th Open Amateur Invitational Tennis Championship, 2017 in a very successful manner. You may be aware of the fact that we have a dream to organize tennis tournaments of National and International Standards at our Club’s tennis courts for which we require a minimum of three courts to be of the same even surface and maybe with adequate lighting and other required infrastructures which may cost us more or less 60 lakhs. During our recently concluded 10th Open Amateur Invitational Championship 2017. All India Tennis Association and Bengal Tennis Association have given us an assurance of all necessary assistances including financial support of 50% total cost of the construction of the aforesaid infrastructures hence we have decided to go this one step forward to achieve our goal. In this regard, some of our members have come forward to finance the remaining amounts on conditions.
In the context, an ExtraOrdinary General Meeting will be held on Wednesday the 24th May 2017 at 4:30 p.m. at Club’s premises. You are, therefore requested to make it convenient to attend the same with your valuable suggestions.
Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
